About Us
McMinn County Recovery Dharma is a peer-led community that uses meditation, mindfulness, and Buddhist-inspired practices to support recovery from addiction and harmful behaviors. We believe everyone has the inner wisdom and strength needed to heal.
Our approach draws on:
Meditation and mindfulness
The Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path
Community support (sangha)
Self-reflection and compassion
We welcome anyone seeking recovery—from substances, alcohol, food, gambling, relationships, technology, or any compulsive pattern causing suffering.
Meetings include a short reading, guided meditation, and optional sharing. You never need to speak if you don’t want to, and no prior experience with Buddhism or meditation is required.
If you’re looking for a supportive, nonjudgmental space to explore a new approach to recovery, you are welcome here.
